So, four became five.

Hey all, I made this site when I was still pregnant, then I abandoned it because that’s what I do… I start a website then tend to abandon it and take a few weeks to actually think about what I want to write about, then I sometimes come back to it.  This time I am determined to keep up with this blog (we’ll see how that one goes…).

So in the time between starting this blog and now we became a family of five.  We welcomed another beautiful baby boy into the world at about 1pm on the 20th of January, Baby Luca.  It was by far the most intense but best labour so far, but has still PUT ME OFF ANYMORE KIDS FOR LIFE.  Yeah, we’ll see how long that one lasts, probably until I get broody again in 6 months time.  Don’t let me do it Rob.  Ever again.

I am truly elated to not be pregnant anymore.  I was lucky, I never really had a massive bump, I was neat and all bump, I didn’t get swollen anywhere and had an easy ride… but still by the time you have been growing another person inside you for 10 months it gets a little tiring at the end.  Plus try being a shopaholic when you can’t buy any clothes for yourself because you are simply too big and too close to the end, I ended up diverting my clothes shopping addiction to tile sample shopping for our kitchen… I am not really exaggerating when I say I probably have enough tile samples to title the entire kitchen. Yesterday I proudly donned my Belly Bandit Belly wrap in the hope that I can shrink my tummy back in no time at all and slip back into my pre pregnancy clothes tomorrow (haha we’ll see how that one goes).

Anyway, right now I am sat here in bed (on my MacBook) with my newborn on one side and my 2.5 year old on the other – it’s blissful and I am so happy with my lot right now.  I know it’s going to be crazy, and there’s been a few times already when I have said to my Husband ‘what have we done’ but I know how much fun is ahead of us, life with my boy gang is going to be amazing.

So far baby is sleeping well and feeding well, he was a chunk at 9lb 6oz and overdue by 10 days, his neck control is incredible and he is so amazingly cuddly.  I think him being overdue has made him a little easier to deal with so far, he is a little more aware and far less fragile than he could have been at 38 weeks.

In this short time we have learnt that Baby Luca doesn’t really have a name, he goes by whatever name we can think of at the time, which generally isn’t his actual name.  He normally gets his Brother’s name, I think it’s going to take a while to sink in that he does actually have his very own name.   Even his big brother Seb can’t remember his name, it’s quite bizarre really… we didn’t have this name forgetting problem with baby number two.

I have lots planned for this blog, I just hope I can find the time to actually put some work into it – it’s going to be a fun journey!

With love x
